I planed to go today at the fashion exhibition
at Les arts décoratifs Museum since a while,
and few days ago,
my ex-boyfriend, messaged me,
he was coming to Paris for few days
and proposed me to see each others.
Then, I will go to the exhibition with him,
of course , in case,
I asked Darling if it did not disturb him,
he replied me " No, why do you even ask ?! "
WTF ? Why ? Because I have respect for him,
and because I would not appareciate he meet back his bit...exs ,
or even that chink ex-besf friend .
So yeah, if it was a problem for him,
I would understand ,
and do not meet Aurélien.
Yes I am jealous and possesive,
but when I am not,
means I have no love for the person.
BREF !

Outfit of the day
I was telling Aurélien, it made me think of
when I was still studying at ESMOD,
we sometimes went her with out teachers.
And, what a surprise when I met one of my teacher of the last year,
Nathalie,
doing a visit with the percetionnment class !
She proposed us to stay with her group and listen the visit *_*
I loved so much to go to exhibition with her.
It was always so interesting !
We could not take photos ( what a pity !
there were so much beautiful pieces)
We arrived a bit of the middle of the "lecture",
so she already started but ,
I took some notes.
First Nathalie explained the source the sleeves we call in french
"engageantes"
We were at a period where france ( europe)
had a strong attraction for China,
they got the inspiration from the pagoda sleeves
of the chinese costumes.
Tang Dynasty style.
Also , under the dress , around 1770
we were wearing "paniers" on each side of the hips,
also called "basques" wich gave the french saying/expression
" Laches moi les basques/ se pendre aux basques de quelqu'un"
( in english the equivalent is :
To dog somebody's footsteps/ to stick someone like glue)
Because, children where always hanging at the "basques" ,
pulling the dress and the paniers with,
it was the time when nannies were very trendy.
We did not raised kids between 0 and 3-4 years in the nobleness world.
Because of the philosophy of that period, but also because , before 4-5 years old,
it was not rare to loose kids because of any sickness or else.
So, mothers was not very close to them, and most of them had kids because...
It was like that, not because they wished to have them.
Mrs Athénais de Montespant,
one of the most famous lover of Louis XIV said,
when one of her kids died once,
" Do not worry my friend, I will make you an other in the future"
If Louis was "sad" by that loss,
La Montespant did not really care.

In 1600 Pompei has been "discovered" but,
it is only around 1763 we have been able to name that antic city,
and 1770 in France,
the Pompei style became trendy.
Not much in the fashion, wich will be for the 1st Empire,
but in the architecture,
after the rococo,
we start to go into the Neo Classissism.
Slowly, we left the large dress,
to adopt " Le style à la Polonaise" ( the polish style)
easier for the country side
French revolution arrives,
it becomes lighter,
"Revolution Stripe" appears
and we start to seam some revolutionnary saying on the clothes,
and England starts to unfluences french fashion at that time.
Napo-po the 1st becomes the head of the country
and use the greco-roman style as fashion style
( especially for women)
as transition and totally cut with the royal regime.
Because of the revolution and teh wars,
France is missing people,
men,
so , with the support of the doctors,
Napoléon the 1st , tries to "lemininate" the corsets,
which damaged the women's bodies and was and obstacle to having children.
Also, corst was a reference to the Royality and the ancient regime.
He want to remove the constraints
and write, in law,
if we want the empire,
we must not wear more than 1,5kgs , everything inclued.
During Royality, women vanished because corsets were to straight,
too much weight, too hot.
Now they were dying of cold !
But , of course, they still have a light corst under.
At that time,
we started to have a new desire:
After the Pompei and Empire style,
it is the begining of expeditions, scienctific expeditions,
in Egypt.
Napo-po starts to adopt the colours of
the pharaos:
Blue and green.
and keep the one of the roman empire :
Red and gold.
Thanks to the colours,
we go back with the symbolism:
Blue wich was for gods, ....
If During Marie-Antoinette period,
we had to adapt the architecture to the large paniers
( The "étiquette" ( the rules, law in Versailles, for the Court,
wanted , a woman has to arrive with her husband next to her, by her side,
so we had to think aboud the size of 2 persons next to each other AND the size of the paniers
to design the doors)
During the Josephine time, it is all about behind.
To show the social statut, women used the trolling of the dressin , behind.
The longest it was, the more important you were.
So, it created a "trafic jam" in the castles, balls, women trying to know,
by comparing the lenght of their dresses,
who must passe front who.
For the Empress it was around 11m....
After the empire,
during the Restauration,
many and quicky changements happened in the fashion.
During the XIXth century,
corsets and paniers come back ( YEAHHHHHH *_* )
Bustles and some "faux-culs" as underwear.
Crinoline appears with the new trend:
the Japonism
Japan inspire us in the colours and teh prints.
So, During the Romantism period,
leg of lamb sleeves ( Manches Gigot)
and corsets are back again,
The hem of the dress has to be the same size of the size of the sleeve,
and the men, wear corsets too.
Mr. Bumelles (? , sorry I am not sure about the name)
an english man,
establishes, what we now call the Dandysm. in France.
=> like a start, we have to arrive late, very late,
so everybody is wating for you,
when you finally arrive, everyone is glad you are finally here,
but of course, you do not stay long.
You have to look simple,
when it actuallt take hours to get ready
and always have to be perfect, impeccable.
Nathalie, did not speak a lot about the underwear at the end,
so yes, as we can see,
it already existed hight polished boots
and polished, like PVC corset !
Simple luxe tastes ? Or already some .. S&M practices ?
Aurélien had to left before the end of the visit, to pick up his friend at train station,
so, after,
I decided to go and have lunch with my father.
I wished to walk by the banks of the Seine,
but it was flooded :s
In any way, Paris is always beautiful ,
isnt'it ?
As usual,
we went to Rim café,
got an appetizer
I ordered green raviolis with cheese and fruits salad to balance,
I did not even had the time to finish my coke and appetizer,
the waiter offered us a digestif,
.... I could not finish it XD
Seriously I never drink so ....
Coming back home,
I was having a nap,
when my phone rang,
it was some of my neigbors who
asked me for a baby sitting ... On the evening.
I dressed up and then went to their place,
I watched the Lord of the Rings a bit with kids,
then put them in bed,
wanted to continue,
but Hubby called ._.
So between,
Darling, kids, Chou ....
Could not even watch the half XD
c'est robes sont magnifique ^O^
